Server Governance & Directives

Server Rules &
Citizen Handbook

Immersion, mutual respect, and high-quality storytelling form the foundation of Atlantic Roleplay. All citizens are required to understand and adhere to these directives at all times in San Andreas.

01. Discord Community Rules & Standards

Section A
RULE D-01 Community Standard

Mutual Respect & Calm Decorum

Respect every member of our community. Maintain mature, constructive, and calm conversations across all channels. Toxic behavior, intentional instigation, or hostility will not be tolerated.

RULE D-02 Account Guidelines

Nickname & Profile Picture Standards

Do not use blank, invisible, offensive, or sexually explicit nicknames and profile pictures. Staff reserve the absolute right to reset nicknames and enforce profile compliance.

RULE D-03 Staff Authority

Staff Discretion & Authority

Atlantic staff reserve the right to use their professional discretion to moderate the server and protect the community atmosphere, regardless of whether a specific action is explicitly listed in writing.

RULE D-04 Communication Etiquette

Mass Pinging & Mention Spam

Mass pinging individual members, staff members, or server roles without legitimate justification is strictly prohibited and subject to immediate mute or restriction.

RULE D-05 Integrity Policy

Zero Loophole Exploitation

Do not attempt to exploit loopholes in community or server rules. If you discover an ambiguity or vulnerability, report it immediately to staff via the support desk.

RULE D-06 Sanction: Permanent Blacklist

Direct Message (DM) Advertising & External Promotions

Direct message promotion of external servers or communities to Atlantic members is strictly prohibited. Unsolicited DM advertising results in immediate account ban and Discord blacklist. Community members receiving advertising DMs should open a support ticket with evidence.

RULE D-07 Voice Decorum

External Server Discussions in Voice Channels

Do not advertise, discuss, or promote third-party servers within Atlantic official voice channels. Keep conversations focused on our community and roleplay activities.

RULE D-08 Zero Tolerance

Profanity & Abusive Language (IC & OOC)

Abusive profanity, slurs, and degrading language are strictly prohibited across all Discord text and voice channels, both In-Character (IC) and Out-of-Character (OOC).

RULE D-09 Sanction: Immediate Permanent Ban

Privacy Protection & Doxxing Prohibition

Sharing, leaking, or trolling with another person's personal private information (real names, photos, location, social accounts) is strictly forbidden and results in an immediate permanent community ban.

02. Core Roleplay Rules & Concepts

Section B
CONCEPT 01 Foundational Principle

What is Roleplay (RP)?

Roleplay means acting out a fictional character in a virtual world as you would in real life, guided by rules and realistic consequences. Always maintain character continuity, think realistically before entering scenarios, and commit fully to your chosen profession (Police, Doctor, Gangster, Business Tycoon, or Citizen).

In Character (IC):

Your virtual character living inside San Andreas. All speech, actions, and decisions belong to this character.

Out of Character (OOC):

Your real-world self. OOC chatter must never be brought into the game environment.

RULE RP-01 Strictly Prohibited

Random Deathmatch (RDM)

Attacking, shooting, or killing another player without valid in-character initiation, prior dialogue, and justifiable roleplay reason.

RULE RP-02 Strictly Prohibited

Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM)

Using a vehicle as a weapon to ram, run over, or kill other players. In the event of an accidental vehicle collision, you must stop, check on the victim, and apologize through roleplay.

RULE RP-03 Immersion Standard

Cop Baiting

Voluntarily committing disruptive, reckless, or unrealistic actions solely to draw attention from Police units because of boredom.

RULE RP-04 Sanction: Server Ban

Combat Logging

Disconnecting or closing your game client during an active roleplay scene, police pursuit, robbery, or shootout to avoid consequences.

RULE RP-05 Fair Play Violation

Meta Gaming

Using Out-of-Character information (Discord chats, streams, direct messages) inside the game to locate players or alter roleplay outcomes.

RULE RP-06 Unrealistic Play

Power Gaming

Performing physically impossible actions, forcing roleplay outcomes without giving the other party a chance to react, or exploiting game mechanics for personal advantage.

RULE RP-07 Core Principle

Value of Life / Fear RP

You must value your character's life at all times. When facing superior firepower or held at gunpoint, comply with reasonable demands. If held at gunpoint while inside a closed-top vehicle (car), you may attempt to accelerate away, but you must immediately leave the vicinity and alert authorities.

RULE RP-08 Engagement Rule

Third Party Interference

Interfering in an active combat, robbery, or shootout scenario between two separate groups without prior direct in-character involvement.

RULE RP-09 Combat Initiation

Suppress Fire Protocol

Before initiating on-the-spot shootouts, 5 to 10 warning shots must be fired into the sky ("Suppress Fire"). Both opposing parties must take cover before full combat engagement begins.

RULE RP-10 Fair Play Standard

Spawn Killing & Crash Relog Grace

Gunpointing, kidnapping, or shooting a player immediately upon spawning is forbidden. If an opposing player crashes ("head blast") during combat, wait for them to reconnect and allow a 3–4 second grace period upon spawn.

RULE RP-11 Territory Governance

Safe Zone Protocols (Green Zones & Red Zones)

Shooting, kidnapping, robbing, or concluding hostile scenarios inside designated Safe Zones is strictly prohibited. If a player flees into a safe zone during an active fight, do not shoot inside—file an OOC support ticket.

Green Zones (Full Immunity):

Hospital, Police Station (APD), Rental Public Garages, Taxi Shed, Main Bank, Mechanic Shed, Trucker Shed, Faction Grind Areas, Dealerships, RTO Office, Reporter HQ, and All Building Interiors.

Red Zones (Shooting Prohibited):

Gun Grinding Area, Material Run Area, Crystal Cooking Facility, and Mr_X Territory.

RULE RP-12 Memory Governance

New Life Rule (NLR)

When knocked out and revived by EMS (AMD) or admitted to the hospital, your character suffers a 30-minute temporary memory loss.

  • You will not recall your identity initially, but will naturally recover memories after 30 minutes.
  • Your name can be confirmed by checking your pocket ID or through friends present.
  • You must completely forget the events and perpetrators that caused your death.
  • If an eyewitness present in-game reminds you after 30 minutes, you may resume the storyline.
  • If a character is burned, total memory wipe applies for that entire day.
COMMANDS Text Interaction

Usage of /me, /do, and /try

/me [Action] Describes your character's physical actions.

Example: /me opens the glovebox slowly.

/do [Environment] Sets context, verifies details, or describes outcomes.

Example: /do The door creaks loudly as it opens.

/try [Attempt] Attempts an uncertain action (returns Success/Fail).

Example: /try shows forged ID to officer.

Kidnapping requires tactical discipline and strict compliance:

  • No /carry Usage: Victims must be instructed into vehicles via gunpoint. Use /tie to secure them inside and /drag upon exiting.
  • Target Conditions: Targets must be on-foot and isolated. Ramming or chasing closed vehicles to kidnap is prohibited (bikes require Fear RP).

    • 2 Officers: Requires 4+ fully armed kidnappers and 9+ active Police online.

CITY-06 Faction Protocol

Faction Resignation (Faction Quit) Procedure

  • Police Cases: All active investigations must conclude within 1 week; unproven charges must be dismissed.
  • Backup Units: Gang backup is capped by the current online count of active Police. Once suppress fire is exchanged, no additional backup may join.
CITY-08 Correctional Protocol

Prison Escape Regulations

No shootouts are permitted during prison escapes. Escapees may utilize public payphones outside the prison or forgery roleplay to arrange transport. The prison tracking device must be broken; failure to disable the tracker permits Police to trace your coordinates. If caught, additional charges apply.

CITY-09 Aviation Authority

Aircraft & Aviation Guidelines

All planes and helicopters require a valid Pilot License. Aircraft must take off and land strictly on authorized Airport Runways and spawn/despawn only within airport hangars. Abandoning aircraft on city streets will result in heavy fines, vehicle impoundment, and license revocation. Flight test training is restricted to designated desert airspace.

CITY-10 Operational Stealth
